Marina Ovsyannikova has joined Germany's Die Welt a month after she interrupted a live Russian state TV broadcast to protest the war in Ukraine.

Ulf Poschardt, editor in chief of Welt Group, praised Ovsyannikova’s courage in the statement announcing her hiring.
