All this in spite of the fact that many of the restaurant owners and staff openly oppose the Russia-Ukraine war. Some of the restaurant owners are even Ukrainian, according to The Times. Some restaurants have put up signs in support of Ukraine and one restaurant, Russian Samovar, located in Midtown Manhattan, is even hosting a fundraiser to support Ukraine.
