Ryan Reynolds addresses the rumors that Taylor Swift will be making a cameo appearance in Deadpool 3. Due to Disney's acquisition of 20th Century Fox, Reynolds' Merc-with-a-Mouth is finally joining the Marvel Cinematic Universe with Deadpool 3. The film will be R-rated, directed by Free Guy and The Adam Project's Shawn Levy, and feature the return of Hugh Jackman's Wolverine after he seemingly bid farewell to the role in 2017's Logan.
SCREENRANT VIDEO OF THE DAY During a recent interview with Entertainment Tonight on the red carpet promoting his new movie Spirited, Reynolds addressed the rumors about Swift appearing in Deadpool 3. Unfortunately, the Wade Wilson actor shot the popular fan theory down, though considering he and his family are huge Swifties and are "obsessed" with her latest album Midnights, Reynolds said he would "of course" be down to have the singer-songwriter cameo in Deadpool 3.

Whether or not the mutual location was even meant to be an intentional Easter egg, the fan theory never held much water anyway, and now Reynolds has shot it down. Perhaps the more intriguing part of his comments is that Reynolds is open to a Swift cameo in Deadpool 3, meaning the fan theory could come true after all. Swift is not only fresh off the release of her tenth studio album Midnights, but an appearance in David O.
In the case of any other Marvel property, a cameo from Swift might be gratuitous, but not in Deadpool. The second film featured cameos from Matt Damon, Brad Pitt, Alan Tudyk, and nearly all the X-Men. Thus, Swift appearing in Deadpool 3 could continue the series' tradition of including big celebrity cameos as funny gags, especially given her close relationship with Reynolds and his family.
