The newly-named “Wheel of Fortune” host, 48, recently discussed how he intends to run the show next year after Pat Sajak, 76, steps down.
Sajak is set to finish out this season, and then Seacrest will take the helm, alongside the legendary letter-turner, Vanna White, 66.The host was announced as Pat Sajak’s replacement this summer.“I think I have so much adrenaline rushing through my body,” Seacrest told People. “Excitement is the word because it’s such a phenomenal show.”
“I’ve been a fan,” he continued. “I grew up watching the show and I can’t wait to take over after the legendary Pat Sajak. The “American Idol” host even added that he felt like a “kid in a candy store,” excited by his upcoming hosting duties.Vanna White has extended her contract through 2026.And, after a few long months of rumored negotiations between herself and the networks, it looks like White will be coming back to her role on the show, alongside Seacrest this time.
