Healthy eaters will have more options for dining with salad restaurants slated for the Indianapolis area. California-based chain Sweetgreen will open its third Indy-area location Tuesday, landing in Fishers.
, the flagship brand of Minneapolis-based restaurant operator Steele Brands, will open five central Indiana restaurants during the next several years.
The restaurants sell custom salads, grain bowls, acai bowls and smoothies; and regularly organize yoga and other fitness events. Sites have yet to be selected, but the first will open in 2023 and all five should be operational before 2028, according to Minnesota-based franchisee Rory Kelly. Crisp & Green is part of a company founded in 2016 by Steele Smiley to offer healthier food in a fast-casual setting.
