Published in June,"More Than You'll Ever Know" is up for Best First Novel by an American Author. It tells the story of a woman living a double life, with families in Laredo and Mexico City, which ultimately leads to murder. Three decades later, her story is revived by a true-crime blogger in Austin, leading to further revelations.told the Express-News

that the book's publication fulfilled a lifelong dream and that the critical acclaim that greeted it was"happily overwhelming." The other Texas authors nominated for Edgar Awards are: Gabino Iglesias, who lives in Austin, for Best Novel for"The Devil Takes You Home"; and Seraphina Nova Glass, a professor at the University of Texas at Arlington, for Best Paperback Original for"On a Quiet Street."
