After a cold front moved through late Thursday, cooler weather is coming over the next few days, along with some rain chances.
Thursday was the hottest day of the year so far in San Antonio . For only the fourth time in 2024, daily temperatures reached the 90-degree mark, and Thursday’s high of 95 degrees was the highest peak temperature so far. Thanks to air moisture levels that pushed dew points into the 70s, the heat index — or “feels like” temperature that factors in humidity — topped out at 105 degrees during the afternoon.
The Hill Country will have the highest rain chances at 40%. Chances in San Antonio will be lower, near 20%, Friday afternoon. Cool conditions are expected by Friday night as temperatures drop below 75 degrees after 9 p.m. Overnight low temps will drop into the upper 60s under partly cloudy skies. Weekend rain chances On Saturday, mostly cloudy skies are expected across South Texas, along with a few scattered showers and storms.
