New vendor ordinances are now in effect here in San Diego. San Diego will now require vendors to obtain a vendor permit if they want to set up shop. KUSI's Elizabeth Alvarez was live with more details on what they can and can't do to sell.

Beaches, bays, and public parks of San Diego will now require vendors to obtain a vendor permit if they want to set up shop.

Balboa Park attracts hundreds of people every day because of the great outdoors, the museums, the gardens, all the attractions, but this new ordinance will restrict vendors from operating in these high traffic places. The San Diego City Council adopted the new street vendor rules back in March, calling it a compromise between business owners and street vendors.

On “Good Morning San Diego” KUSI’s Elizabeth Alvarez was out at Balboa Park with more details on this new vendor ordinance.
