San Diego County school districts cope with triple-digit temperatures as their students begin the fall semester in a heat wave.

Triple digit temperatures and an extreme heat warning had San Diego County sizzling. The blistering heat is especially dangerous for children who are back in school for the fall semester. KPBS Education Reporter M.G. Perez takes us north and east to districts in the hot zone.

School districts in North and East County are dealing with some of the most sweltering inland temperatures. “I go outside a lot, but not recently because it’s so hot. I also have baseball practice later and it’s going to suck," he said.
