The two golden retrievers were dropped off a day apart from one another at the San Diego Humane Society’s Oceanside campus

One of two golden retrievers dropped off by a man who identified himself as “Brandon” at the San Diego Humane Society’s Oceanside Campus on July 25 and July 26. San Diego Humane Society officials are searching for answers after discovering that two young golden retrievers who were dropped off on their doorstep without an owner were possibly abused.

“It is important to note that the man who identified himself as Brandon is not currently a suspect,” said Chief of Humane Law Enforcement Jace Huggins. “We are hoping to learn more about these dogs and are asking our community to help us gather information if they know anything.” “Given the condition of the dogs, and the potential that they were intentionally harmed, San Diego Humane Society’s Humane Law Enforcement would like to speak to anyone who may have information about the dogs, or the person who brought the dogs in,” Thompson said. The man who brought the dogs in was driving a white Toyota 4Runner, Thompson said.
