For years, San Diego County high school football has gotten the stink eye from writers and evaluators around the state.
Before the start of league action, San Diego Section teams will play 17 games against State Top 100 teams. In addition to Apple Valley, Eastlake faces No. 86 La Habra and Mission Hills, ranked No. 64, also plays No. 95 Lawndale.San Clemente was 7-4 last season. Two of those wins came against Oceanside and La Costa Canyon.
