The two men were killed May 19 following an officer-involved shooting in the Dogpatch when responding to a 911 call.
SAN FRANCISCO — Police released body-cam footage on Friday showing the May 19 officer-involved shooting that left two men dead.
San Francisco Police officers responded to the corner of Mariposa and Owens streets in the Dogpatch in response to a 911 call. When police arrived, the officers found two men fighting. The men were later identified as Rafael Mendoza, 49, and Michael Macfhionghain, 57, according to police. In responding to the incident, officers shot at the two men killing them, police said. Macfhionghain was declared dead at the scene and Mendoza was later pronounced dead at the hospital, police said.
