The victim sustained minor injuries and was taken to a hospital for medical treatment
A man was punched in the face by an unidentified knife-wielding suspect in North Fair Oaks, according to the San Mateo County Sheriff’s Office.
The attack took place at the intersection of 8th Avenue and Middlefield Road at around 12:31 a.m. as the male victim, who the police have not named, was exiting his car. “The victim was exiting his car when the suspect approached him, punched him, and fled on foot,” the San Mateo County Sheriff said in a press release. “The suspect was last seen running eastbound on 8th Avenue.”
