Taylor Swift may be cheering for the Kansas City Chiefs at Super Bowl LIX, but Saquon Barkley thinks her fans should root for the other team.
She clarified the lyric was about the NFL team and not the band the Eagles during a May 2023 Eras Tour concert in the team’s home city. “I love the band the Eagles, but guys, like, come on. I’m from Philly. Of course, it’s the team,” she said via social media footage from the concert. Taylor was joined by Scott, her mother, Andrea Swift, and her brother, Austin Swift, at the 2024 Super Bowl, which saw the Chiefs defeat the San Francisco 49ers. The Chiefs are now hoping to become the first NFL team in history to win their third consecutive Super Bowl when they take on the Eagles in New Orleans on Sunday, February 9.
