Sarah Hyland has revealed the reason she almost missed out on the role of a lifetime in the hit sitcom “Modern Family” because of her age.
Sarah Hyland revealed she almost wasn’t given the opportunity to audition for “Modern Family” because casting for the show thought she was older than 18.“Originally, they didn’t want to see me for ‘Modern Family’ because I was 18 and Haley’s character was 15,” Hyland“And at the time, my agent’s assistant fought for me to get in the room,” Hyland, 32, went on.
“They just were very much like, ‘She’s too old. She’s 18.’ And then after that, I went to see the director and creators,” she added.
