The Riders think good things are to come after all the off-season roster moves were made.
“I think we’re going to have a good year,” he said. “I’m not into predicting much but I can say this, we’re going to be a physical team, we’re going to play fast and we’re going to enjoy being out there, so I am excited with this group.”“You can really feel the potential out here,” said Harris. “I’ve been around this league for quite a while and this group has got me fired up.”. And Dickenson said he wants to see more 12-on-12 scrimmage simulations in camp to see who rises to the top.
But one player who did perform well on day one was quarterback Jake Dolegala. He completed a number of crisp passes during the workout and got some praise from his coach shortly after. Defensive back Rolan Milligan was present, but not participating after the Riders gave the veteran a day off after he made the 30-hour drive to Saskatoon.
“We’re going to take it easy with him until he’s full go,” said Dickenson. “We’re hoping to get him by the first game of the season.”Article content
