The Saskatchewan Serious Incident Response Team said Monday it is investigating the Saskatoon arrest in which a man was seriously injured.

Activate your Online Access NowIn a media release issued Monday, SIRT said after the officers attempted a traffic stop “the vehicle fled and within seconds left the road, entering a park where it collided with a bench, disabling the vehicle.”

The City of Saskatoon confirmed last week that the damage was limited to some turf and a bench at the baseball diamond.
