Canada looking for first win at volleyball world championship, the Canadian team at the U19 Girls’ World Volleyball Championship will be looking for their first win of the competition in their final game.

The first of three stages of the Women’s World Baseball Cup is set to get underway Aug. 8-13 in Thunder Bay, ON, with Saskatoon right-handed pitcher and infielderThis stage of the event will feature six teams — also known as Group A — Hong Kong-China, United States, Australia, Korea and Mexico, who the host Canadians will face in their opening game.

Finally, in 2024, Thunder Bay will once again play host to the final stage of the event with the top two teams from both groups as well as two wild cards competing for the world title.Four Saskatchewan teams competed at the boys’ and girls’ U16 Flag Football National Championships July 30 to Aug. 2 in Antigonish, NS, and two of the teams came home with medals.

Over on the girls’ side, Team Saskatchewan White lost one round robin game, but fought for a place in the final where they were narrowly defeated 19-18 by Team Quebec Blue. Meanwhile, Team Saskatchewan Green finished fifth, winning their final game 19-6 over Team Quebec White.The baseball season in Saskatchewan is winding down as more provincial champions are crowned, including teams from Saskatoon and area.
