‘Today’ Host Savannah Guthrie Says She Was a ‘Make Out Bandit’ When She Was Younger

Barrymore asked why—and if her disdain had to do with the tradition of kissing a stranger at midnight. Then came a surprising confession from Guthrie. “I didn’t need New Year's Eve to kiss strangers when I was young,” she laughed. “I did not need an occasion to make out.” Barrymore let out a squeal. “Were you a make out bandit?!” she asked. Guthrie nodded and Barrymore admitted that she too, was one to go for a kiss. “I was a make-out bandit,” Guthrie said, adding: “I don’t want to give the wrong impression ... It was like seventh grade. Don’t even try to put your hand up my shirt. I was a good girl, but I did love to make out.”
