It’s been a long offseason for fans of teams across the NFL, and the Seattle Seahawks are inching closer to their Week 1 showdown against the Denver Broncos. One of the big questions of the offseason has been what the Hawks would do with the glut of talent at the cornerback position, with Devon Witherspoon, Riq Woolen, Tre Brown, Mike Jackson, Artie Burns, D.J. James and Nehemiah Pritchett and others all battling for playing time.
Well, just two days before the preseason finale against the Cleveland Browns, and the first domino has fallen. So, it is indeed a trade that brings about the end of Mike Jackson’s time with the Seahawks, and a trade that brings Seattle an inside linebacker in return. Michael Barrett was a seventh round pick of the Carolina Panthers in the 2024 NFL Draft this past April.
