Second Baptist’s Barrett Ratliff leads the team onto the field to face The Woodlands Christian Academy in a TAPPS Division II area high school football playoff game, Saturday, Nov. 19, 2022, in Houston.Second Baptist is heading to the TAPPS Division II state semifinals for the second consecutive season. The Eagles set the tone by scoring on their first four possessions, then cruised to their second win against The Woodlands Christian Academy in three weeks, 31-7 Saturday at C.E.
The play worked so well, Second Baptist tried it again, this time on fourth and 3 from its 41, and QB Turner Murdock completed a 36-yard pass to RB Cash Harris, setting up Kollmorgen’s 12-yard leap into the end zone three plays later for a 24-7 lead with 2:37 left in the first half. That’s where the score remained at the break.
