Ashram Lochan, 29, was charged with murder and gun possession Thursday in the June 2021 drive-by shooting death of 10-year-old Justin Wallace, who was gunned down in Queens over a dispute involving a shared driveway. Justin Wallace, 10, was walking with his cousin in Far Rockaway on June 5, 2021, when he was mortally wounded in a drive-by shooting. The slain youngster’s family said the shooting stemmed from a beef over a shared driveway.Surveillance footage from the scene showed the gunmen pulling up to the Beach 45th Street home in a dark SUV, jumping out and firing at the youngster and his 29-year-old cousin through an iron railing.

Justin’s cousin was hit in the shoulder and survived, but the boy, who was hit in the torso, was pronounced dead after being rushed to St. John’s Episcopal Hospital.“He kill[ed] my boy over the driveway?” the boy’s grief-stricken father, Albert Wallace, said at the time.Jovan Young, 31, was charged with murder and gun possession just days after 10-year-old Justin Wallace was shot and killed in 2021. A second suspect, Ashram Lochan, was hit with gun charges. Now he’s also facing a murder charge.

“One of these incidents — you’ve heard me say this before, and I mean it — one of these incidents is one too many,” then-NYPD Commissioner Dermot Shea said at the event. “And this will be stuck for the rest of their lives.”
