Second suspect in Anderson homicide in late June has been arrested.
ANDERSON — Police in Anderson have arrested both suspects they believe are responsible in connection to a homicide investigation.
According to police, 41-year-old Timothy Kates was found dead inside a home in the 1000 block of W. 13th Street in the city on June 27. On July 16, 2023, 38-year-old Roger Rodriguez Jr. was arrested following a traffic stop in Muncie, where Rodriguez was a passenger in a vehicle stopped by Muncie Police. He's being charged with Murder and armed robbery.
On Wednesday, July 26, U.S. Marshals located and apprehended a second suspect in the investigation in Mississippi. He will be extradited back to Indiana to the Madison County Jail. Since he has not been formally charged yet in this case, WRTV is not naming him. The investigation into Kates' death remains active.
