Tony Plohetski of Austin American-Statesman and KVUE reports a tentative pretrial deal could bring the nine-year-old case to a close.

is expected in a Houston courtroom on Tuesday for a hearing related to his 9-year-old securities fraud case.

The conditions of the proposed agreement, according to Plohetski - Paxton would likely have to perform community service, take legal education courses and pay a six-figure restitution. The attorney general would not have to enter a plea and if conditions were met, charges would be dismissed. During this hearing, which is scheduled for 9 a.m., KHOU 11 has been given permission to stream audio from the courtroom. We will also be able to provide live video through a courtroom window.
