Warner, the chairman of the Senate Intelligence Committee, has reportedly told his colleagues that he fears the 81-year-old will lose to former President Donald Trump , 78, in November in the wake of
“Like many other people in Washington and across the country, Senator Warner believes these are critical days for the president’s campaign, and he has made that clear to the White House,” the senator’s spokeswoman, Rachel Cohen, told the Washington Post.Democrats currently have a 51-49 edge over Republicans in the upper chamber, but must defend seats in several competitive races, including Montana, Nevada and Ohio.
