are one step ahead of us: this weekend, on April 16, the French brand launched Sézane Edition. This is the first drop – or chapter, as the brand calls it – of its four-part formalwear capsule, which just so happens to tackle the tricky summer party season.We're so inspired by this unique take on formalwear. Sézane Edition is packed with bold, saturated hues of coral, fuchsia and magenta, as well as luxurious silks and jacquards amped up with intricate embroidery and tactile sequins.
The grown-up silhouettes balance this adornment – we can't get enough of the voluminous dresses, with tiered hems and puffed sleeves, but we also love the louche double-breasting suiting and relaxed summer co-ords.Our favourite items in the collection is the ochre trouser suit – it's so easily dressed up or down – and the floor-sweeping plissé Layla dress, which has delicate spaghetti straps and a generous A-line cut.
We also love the fuchsia Tamara dress, which sadly sold out within a mere few hours of Sézane Edition launching online. Many pieces are headed that way, with multiple sizes already gone, so if you've got your eye on anything you need to act fast.
