Giants starter Logan Webb shut down the Colorado Rockies as the Giants head to the All-Star break with a 49-41 record.
SAN FRANICSCO — Camilo Doval and Alex Cobb are going to the All-Star Game, but the horse the Giants rode in on is Logan Webb.
A festive crowd of 36,050 on a partially overcast day was treated to Webb’s first shutout and complete game after 95 previous starts. Webb finished with 10 strikeouts, no walks and threw 103 pitches, 75 of them strikes in a game that was over in an hour and 56 minutes. The Giants hit the All-Star break with a 49-41 record, behind first-place Arizona and the Los Angeles Dodgers in the National League West. Colorado is 34-57 after losing two of three games to the Giants.
