Shang-Chi and the Legend of the Ten Rings star Simu Liu has given a disappointing update on the Marvel sequel.

The film is set to be written and directed by Destin Daniel Cretton, who previously directed the first Shang-Chi and the Legend of the Ten Rings and will also helm Avengers: The Kang Dynasty. The fifth Avengers movie is currently dealing with behind-the-scenes legal issues surrounding star Jonathan Majors.There is no set release date, but if it were to come out after Avengers: The Kang Dynasty, it would likely be released in 2026 or 2027.
