Shannon Sharpe, wiping away tears, had an emotional message for Skip Bayless.
“The greatest compliment I can give you is you were a worthy adversary,” Bayless said to Sharpe.Tensions between Sharpe and Bayless grew due to a tweet Bayless posted after Bills safety Damar Hamlin collapsed on the field and went into cardiac arrest on Jan. 2.“No doubt the NFL is considering postponing the rest of this game — but how? This late in the season, a game of this magnitude is crucial to the regular-season outcome … which suddenly seems so irrelevant,” Bayless tweeted at the time.
Sharpe skipped the Jan. 3 episode of “Undisputed,” and upon returning on Jan. 4, he said he wished Bayless would’ve taken the tweet down.“You’ll see me again somewhere, I just don’t know where,” Sharpe said Tuesday.
