A suspect barricaded inside a residence Monday was shot by an El Paso County deputy and the suspect was taken to a hospital.
Residents in the area of Easy Street and Kiva Road were ordered to shelter in place, according to a 2:49 p.m. Monday tweet by the El Paso County Sheriff’s Office.
The order was lifted after the armed suspect was shot and taken into custody, the sheriff’s office said.The suspect was taken into custody and taken to a hospital. No other injuries were reported and the police shooting is under investigation.
