Police are providing more details about a fraudulent $1 million winning scratch-off ticket that a Florida couple allegedly submitted at the Pensacola Florida Lottery Office.
Dakota Jones was arrested Tuesday on principal to those same three charges. He remains in Escambia County Jail on $17,500 bond. The ticket, which Enders submitted to the Pensacola office on March 1 in an attempt to claim $1 million, has a tear right through the center. Officials say they immediately recognized the ticket was fake when Enders tried to cash it in. Jones drove her to the office to submit it, as well as when authorities called her back to the office 10 days later.
I don't think this is going to be a made-for-TV movie type of situation," Simmons said. "It was clear to lottery officials that she'd taken two tickets."
