'I am here to tell you that this is what believing looks like,' Ralph said in her moving acceptance speech.

The actor became the second Black woman to win best supporting actor in a comedy series after Jackée Harry won for “227″ in 1987. Ralph, a native of Waterbury, Connecticut who grew up between Long Island and Jamaica, doesn’t hail from the Garden State. But she did spend a good chunk of her life here.
