Tornado emergency issued for Little Rock and nearby areas
A significant tornado outbreak is underway in the South, as more than 28 million people are under a tornado watch, according to the National Weather Service.
The alert comes as rare high-risk tornado warnings have been issued Friday for parts of six states -- Arkansas, Illinois, Iowa, Mississippi, Missouri and Tennessee -- as a major storm leaves millions in the Heartland at risk from potentially violent, long-track tornadoes. Among those at risk for tornadoes is an area that was hit by deadly storms last weekend. President Joe Biden is visiting one of those locations -- Rolling Fork, Mississippi -- on Friday.

Parts of Midwest under tornado watch as major storm system approaches central and south U.S.A tornado watch has been issued for eastern Iowa, northeast Missouri, northwest Illinois and southwestern Wisconsin. The National Weather Service says many tornadoes can be expected as well as hail and wind gusts up to 70 mph.
