The popular ride at the New Jersey theme park is expected to re-open this spring.
Lisa Ryan, a spokeswoman with the New Jersey Department of Community Affairs, said state regulations required Six Flags to notify the agency by phone via a hotline of the ride failure. She said rules apply to any failure of “critical structural or mechanical component, regardless of cause.”
