Skittles encourages its consumers to “taste the rainbow,” but the candy brand’s newest flavor might have you tasting a common condiment instead.
Skittles and French's have partnered to create a mustard-flavored Skittle ahead of National Mustard Day on August 5. HUNT VALLEY, Md. –
“From Mustard Ice Cream to last year’s viral Mustard Donuts, this year marks the fifth time French’s has gone all out with unique, flavorful innovations to celebrate National Mustard Day. With the yellow holiday landing on August 5th, we knew we had to outdo ourselves,” said Valda Coryat, North America vice president of marketing for McCormick & Company, French’s parent company.
For those hoping to get some free mustard-flavored Skittles in-person at a pop-up event, French’s will drive its “Mustard Mobile” – featuring a bright yellow design and giant mustard Skittles on top of the vehicle – through stops in Atlanta, New York City, and Washington, D.C. The Mustard Mobile offering mustard-flavored Skittles will be at the Ponce City Market in Atlanta from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. on July 31; at City Center in Washington, D.C., from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m.
