The Conodoguinet Creek overflows from weekend rainsFlooding was reported late Sunday afternoon in several low-lying areas around Harrisburg in the wake of a two-day storm that dropped more than 3 inches of rain, according to the National Weather Service .for residents who live close to the Conodoguinet Creek Near Hogestown in Cumberland County.“At 8.0 feet, Low lying areas in the vicinity of Erbs Bridge Road, Prowell Road, Stone Spring Lane, and Oyster Mill Road are flooded. At 10.

A photo taken Sunday afternoon from City Island shows a high-than-normal Susquehanna River. Any threat of flooding should be over by Monday morning, a National Weather Service forecaster said. Although waters are slightly above average, Gutierrez said the threat of flooding should subside around midnight. While “it’s not necessarily significant flooding because it’s not reaching the higher major flood values,” she said, “it’s still enough to have some impact, especially for those who are closer to the river.”

Gutierrez said the Susquehanna River is not flooding but is currently within the “action stage” at 11.17 feet and is forecasted to increase to 11.5 feet.
