Wolverine may be considered Marvel's deadliest character, but IronMan just snatched his crown. Tony has spent his entire fortune acquiring Earth's most dangerous weapons, boasting, 'I now own more weapons than the rest of the known world.'
Warning: Contains SPOILERS for Iron Man #24In Marvel Comics lore, Iron Man is well known for his genius intellect that is rivaled only by his own dogged nature, but his latest plan has now made him more dangerous than even Wolverine. When Iron Man gets an idea into his head, nothing will stand in his way if he thinks it will help the most people. But just because Iron Man believes he’s in the right doesn’t necessarily make it so.
Logan is often referred to as "the best there is at what he does," and within Marvel Comics he is widely regarded as one of the deadliest men alive. Having faced countless foes over nearly two centuries, there are few threats that could compare to Wolverine. But a new development in Iron Man #24 by Christopher Cantwell and Angel Unzueta makes one thing abundantly clear – Iron Man is now way out of Logan’s league.
Tony Stark: Genius, Billionaire, Weapons Master Thanks to his incredible healing factor and adamantium claws, Wolverine is a killer almost without equal. With lifetimes of experience and unparalleled skills, the list of people more dangerous than the fan-favorite member of the X-Men is extremely short. But while Logan is incredibly deadly on a man-to-man scale, Weapon X’s own lethal potential pales in comparison to the armory that Iron Man has now amassed.
It's true that Iron Man has gathered these weapons in order to dismantle them and make the world a safer place, but if one of his many rivals gets their hands on this gear – or even if Tony has a simple change of heart – the consequences could be disastrous for the Marvel Universe.
Iron Man may have stockpiled these weapons with the intent to destroy them, but Tony Stark’s intentions don’t always work out as planned. And while Wolverine is still one of comics’ deadliest killers, this change in status quo puts his former Avengers teammate in a whole other category. Wolverine may still be the best there is at what he does, but now Marvel Comics’ Iron Man is the deadliest man alive.
