They’re accused of heists at Rite Aid and Walgreens stores in Long Beach, Pasadena, Whittier, Lakewood, Monterey Park, Glendale and elsewhere.
Two men and one woman from the South Bay have been charged in a federal complaint on suspicion of committing 10 armed robberies at Rite Aid and Walgreens stores over a six-week span across Los Angeles County.
Mouton, 22, served as the driver while Sanders and Jones, also both 22, robbed the stores, prosecutors said. One of the men is also accused of pointing a handgun at the back of a store employee, and ordering her to take him to the store’s safe. The employee, noticing the robber was distracted, locked herself inside the store’s staffing office and called 911.
