Cooper University Hospital in Camden.Cooper University Health Care plans to open an outpatient facility in a vacant Sears building at the Moorestown Mall, a spokeswoman for the health system confirmed Friday.
The health network — which operates Cooper University Hospital in Camden and other health care facilities in South Jersey — would not confirm specific details of the project. However, asaid the proposed facility is expected to occupy a three-story, 166,000-square-foot space, offering diagnosis, treatment and procedures.
The report — citing Cooper’s filing with the Moorestown Township planning board — added that the facility would host doctor spaces, surgical care, diagnostic imaging and a radiation oncology suite, among other features. The project has been filed with the Moorestown Township Planning Board, which is expected to review the plan early next month.Cooper bought the space last year for $10 million from PREIT, which operates the Moorestown Mall, the report said.Our journalism needs your support.
