Each member of the CAC dropped a flower around the Angel of Hope Statue at Westgate Park in Dothan, honoring those kids who’ve been lost.
The organization hosted their Day of Hope Vigil on Friday at the Angel of Hope Statue in Dothan , with members placing flowers at the base of the statue.
DOTHAN, Ala. - Members of the Southeast Alabama Child Advocacy Center remembered the children killed by child abuse through their Day of Hope Vigil on Friday morning. They also recited their pledge to children, which covers their adult responsibility to protect children. “Sometimes people think this doesn’t happen in my community or this just wouldn’t happen in my town, but abuse happens everywhere,” said Grace Geisler, MDT Coordinator at the CAC. “We see 350 children, approximately 350 children, every year at our center with new reports of abuse.”and receive the latest local news and weather straight to your email every morning.
