The department has announced that Deputy Chief Kelly Clements has completed the process outlined by the Commission on Professional Credentialing that awards the professional designation of “Fire Marshal” .
“Achieving this designation signifies Deputy Chief Kelly’s commitment to his career in fire and emergency services,” the department said in the release. Deputy Chief Kelly’s designation is valid for three years. He will be required to maintain the designation by showing “continued growth in the areas of professional development, professional contributions, active association membership and community involvement, as well as adhere to a strict code of professional conduct.”
