Tuesday was election day in Orange Park and Green Cove Springs. Green Cove Springs had two City Council seats on the ballot, and Orange Park had one Town Council seat.
Susana D. Thompson won the Orange Park Town Council Seat 4 with 60.28% of the vote. Her opponent, Susan Winnette Sandlin, received 39.72% of the vote.
Thomas Michael Smith took the Green Cove Springs City Council Seat 4 with 70.51% of the vote. His opponent was Kenneth Mudge, who got 29.49% of the vote. And Steven Kelley received 57.51% of the vote for Green Cove Springs City Council Seat 5. His opponent, Darren Stutts, got 42.49%.Copyright 2022 by WJXT News4Jax - All rights reserved.
