A new image from Spider-Man: Freshman Year reveals five different Spidey suits. While originally pitched as taking place in the MCU as a prequel to the events of Captain America: Civil War, Spider-Man: Freshman Year seems to be dramatically different than originally believed.

Spider-Man has one of the most iconic and recognizable superhero costumes of all time, yet the character has also had a number of iconic reimaginings of his suit. The MCU Spider-Man films featured a wide variety of suits used throughout, including variations on the Iron Spider and Spider-Man Noir suits in the comics.

How all these various suits factor into the plot of Spider-Man: Freshman Year remains to be seen but drawing from the various eras of Spider-Man comics suggests a very funny remaining of the character. The series will not premiere until 2024, but Spider-Man: Freshman Year has already been renewed for season 2. This opens the door for the creators to give their own spin on other classic Spider-Man suits like the Bombastic Bagman suit or the Superior Spider-Man outfit.
