Spirit Airline will launch daily nonstop service to and from Fort Lauderdale-Hollywood International Airport in South Florida starting Aug. 14. The service will be the first of its kind between the two airports since 2008, according to a release from Monroe County Executive Adam Bello. Florida markets are among the most popular destinations for Monroe County and Finger Lakes region residents. Whether you are planning a family vacation to the beautiful beaches of southeast Florida or looking for an affordable nonstop flight to catch a Caribbean cruise, the addition of Spirit Airlines’ air service to Fort Lauderdale-Hollywood International Airport will bring greater access and convenience to Rochester passengers.four times per week as of Oct. 3.
