Fans will be required to provide proof of vaccination or a negative test within 48 hours to enter the facilities, and must wear masks when not actively eating or drinking.

The policies apply to Maples Pavilion as well as Burnham Pavilion, the home for the men’s gymnastics, men’s volleyball and wrestling teams.

The policy change is too late for fans to attend this weekend’s on-campus events — Stanford’s women’s basketball game against Cal on Friday or Saturday’s men’s basketball game against Arizona State — but it will allow fans to be in the building for the biggest game of the season, when the Cardinal women have a rematch of the 2021 NCAA national championship game against Arizona.

The first game that a full crowd will be allowed to attend will be the No. 2 Stanford women’s team’s game against Arizona State on Friday, Jan. 28. Two days later, the Cardinal will face the No. 10 Wildcats for the only time in the regular season — a game that will also be nationally televised on ESPN2.
