Lt. Mitchell is a welcome presence on the bridge.

Summary SCREENRANT VIDEO OF THE DAY SCROLL TO CONTINUE WITH CONTENT The cast of Star Trek: Strange New Worlds truly feels like an ensemble, but Rong Fu's Lieutenant Jenna Mitchell has not gotten as much screen time as most of the other characters. Lt. Mitchell serves as the operations officer on the USS Enterprise under the command of Captain Christopher Pike . Mitchell has appeared in eight of Strange New Worlds' twenty episodes, generally at the ops position on the bridge.

When the Starship Enterprise crew was trapped within a fairy tale in "The Elysian Kingdom," Jenna Mitchell served as a member of the Crimson Guard for the Evil Queen Neve . In the first episode of Strange New Worlds season 2, "The Broken Circle," Lt. Mitchell helped Acting Captain Spock commander the Enterprise by making it appear as if there was a coolant leak in the warp core so that the inspection team would evacuate.

The acting career of Chinese-Canadian actress Rong Fu began in 2012 when she appeared on an episode of Warehouse 13. Fu has also appeared in episodes of Rookie Blue, American Gothic, Beauty and the Beast, Odd Squad, American Gods, and Workin' Moms. More recently, Rong Fu has made appearances in The Kings of Nappa as D.A. Amanda Loggins, in Skymed as Constable Jennifer Lee, and in Accused as a Prosecutor.

Will Jenna Mitchell Return In Star Trek: Strange New Worlds Season 3 Strange New Worlds season 2 ended on a dramatic cliffhanger, and Lt. Mitchell was at her regular position at the ops station on the bridge. If the follow-up episode takes place right after the events of "Hegemony," Mitchell should at least appear in the first episode of season 3.

Strange New Worlds already has a large ensemble cast, but the potential departure of Nurse Christine Chapel from the Enterprise to pursue an internship could lead to more screen time for other characters. While it seems likely that Lt. Jenna Mitchell will appear in at least some episodes of season 3, it will be a while before audiences get to see her or any of the Enterprise crew again.
