A new look at Lando's history in Star Wars confirms his greatest ability while also setting up the perfect foundation for his upcoming movie.

Originally reported to be a Disney+ series with Donald Glover reprising his role as young Lando Calrissian from Solo: A Star Wars Story, the infamous galactic con-man will now be getting a full-feature film instead. To that end, the canonical comics have provided the best way for Lando's story to be told on-screen.
As seen in Charles Soule and Madibek Musabekov's new Star Wars #40 set between Empire Strikes Back and Return of the Jedi, Lando Calrissian is trying to save his friend and right-man Lobot, the cyborg briefly featured in Empire Strike Back on Cloud City. Thanks to the sentient droid virus known as the Scourge, Lobot has become corrupted via his cybernetic implants.
As confirmed by Lobot, there's an entire collection of Landos who exist thanks to Calrissian's masterful ability to lie, creating various personas he picks up when needed to his best advantage. As such, this could be a very compelling concept for Lando which is currently being written by Donald and Stephen Glover.Lando's Best Skill Is His Ability To Lie Lando Calrissian is an incredibly successful con man, having lived his entire life from one score to the next.
Following the events of Solo where he lost both L3-37 and the Millennium Falcon, Lando later became friends with Lobot, the only person he's ever truly honest with according to Calrissian himself. For everyone else, the Lando one person might interact with could be totally different from the Lando met by the next. This could be a great backstory for the upcoming Lando movie to potentially make use of.
Lando's Movie Should Have An Unreliable Narrator Given the large amount of fan hopes that original Lando actor Bill Dee Williams will star in the new Lando movie, it would be very entertaining if the older Lando acted as an unreliable narrator, playing into this idea that Lando is the Star Wars galaxy's greatest and most gifted liar.
