Faber spokesman Matt Eiselstein told ABC6 On Your Side: “After discussions with participants, no potential criminal violations were noted.”of Circleville Mayor Michelle Blanton and Law Director Kendra Kinney, one of Faber’s regional liaisons met with city officials March 12. He heard them air concerns about improper spending, expenditures made without City Council approval, unbid contracts and other matters.that would fall under his authority to probe financial irregularities.
Baer and Davis were both under suspension for possible misconduct when City Council approved the buyout 6-1. The pact immediately halts internal investigations and sanitizes their personnel files of all mention of suspected wrongdoing. Bidwell also told us the general fund will get hit again to cover the salaries once a new police chief and deputy are hired.
"It will take some time to fill both positions, however, you are correct in that there will be additional resources needed for the remainder of the year for the chief and deputy chief positions," he said.
