An autopsy determined that his cause of death was methamphetamine intoxication and excited delirium.

The incident happened at 2:54 p.m. on Sept. 6, 2020, after Voorhees Police Officer Thomas Bordi saw Belline drive at a high rate of speed through the parking lot of the Voorhees Town Center shopping mall and crash into a curb, according to a statement from the New Jersey Attorney General’s Office.

When the dispatcher asked if he knew his pursuers, Belline swore and said, “Are you part of the gang, are you part of them too?” After he was arrested, Belline said he did not feel well, requested help and admitted that he used methamphetamine, authorities said. Police called for an ambulance.
