The first rough patch of the Mets’ home opener came before the game even started.
Cohen said he and New York Presbyterian’s chief executive officer Steve Corwin agreed to change the patch via email.
“They’re Phillies colors,” Cohen said before the game. “He agreed and I agreed that it should be more Met-appropriate.” Cohen declined to share any financial details of the partnership. It is the first year that MLB is allowing jersey patches as advertising. “It was a complicated deal based on that and other assets,” Cohen said. “We have a great partner in New York Presbyterian. We’re excited by that.”
